~ Among-Friends: A Network of Friends
Nadhia began her spiritual journey nearly 40 years ago, when she was 21, and has been meditating for the past 36 years. During the course of her spiritual journey she passed through a number of traditions: Russian Orthodox Christianity; Theosophy; Fourth Way; Hindu Vedanta; and Kabbalah.
Her quest led her to spend 20 years in India: 15 in and around the Ashram of Ramana Maharshi; two in Lucknow and, following a major shift in consciousness, three years wandering anonymously in the Himalayas as an itinerant monk.
Following this, in accordance with the request of her teacher, Ajay Pal Singh, she returned to the West in 2000 and began to share her experience.
Nadhia does not teach any particular way, and certainly not ‘her’ way. We are all unique individuals, and each unfolding occurs in its own unique fashion according to the influences and conditions one has grown in. She therefore seeks to inspire people to find their own way.
She does not teach dogma or ‘isms’ as these, in her experience, tend to keep us stuck in the mind and it’s endless maze of concepts. Rather, she focuses on the commonalities underlying abstruse concepts and the capacity of each soul to follow the insights of their own experience, and to align themselves with the guidance of their own Inner Teacher.
Recently, Nadhia finally had the inspiration she had long been seeking: a way to express and embody her attitude toward this great sharing she feels a humble part of. And so Among-Friends was born. We are, after all – every one of us – climbing the same mountain. We are all needed to help each other towards the goal. We are fellow travelers, co-workers, so intrinsically bound to each other that no real separation is possible. We are all in it together . . . as Friends.
